Ian Williamson
Ian Williamson sold everything he owned in 1988 and travelled from the UK to work and live in Southern and Eastern Africa from 1988 until 2006. He currently lives in the UK, although, his passion is for all things Tanzanian.
He worked as Project manager for community projects in Northern Tanzania 1999 to 2006 working as a consultant to safari companies developing the emerging niche market for cultural safaris around Kilimanjaro, the Usambara Mountains, Arusha, Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar.
His passion remains with community project and the development of African Art. He returns often to Tanzania to work with artists along the Swahili Coast and the Zanzibar archipelago. At www.jumart.net the aim is to provide a global marketplace for the paintings of our partners.
